Roller coaster going over a steep hill

If I Could Go Back in Time

If I could go back in time, I would go back to when the VelociCoaster in Universal Studios was made.

One reason why is I would love to see how they make the velociraptors growl next to the rollercoaster tracks right as the train goes by it. I would also like to see how they make a rollercoaster. Another thing is it would be cool to know the engineering of building a rollercoaster and how the car stays on the track while going upside down and hanging upside down.

I think the VelociCoaster is the most incredible ride in Islands of Adventure. The VelociCoaster is hands down my favorite roller coaster ever!!!

FUN FACTS

About halfway through the ride, you’re launched from 40 to 70 mph into a steep climb up to its tallest point, a 155-foot-tall hill.

Then, the train plummets 140 feet at an 80-degree angle, turning to the right and snapping back to the left to complete the 100-foot-long zero-g stall.

After a few seconds, you hang upside down, and then in about 30 seconds, you do a barrel roll over a lake with only a lap bar holding you down for the whole ride.

It’s even scarier to have your hands up for the entire ride!

  1. Guess what, I love roller coasters! I haven’t been on this one though. It would be fun to design them. I bet you could find a book at the library or a video online with more information.

  2. I can’t believe how many times you have rode that thing with your hands up the entire time.

Sometimes I think that all you think about are thrill rides! (not a bad thing in my opinion)

    Love you,
    Tim
