One of my Favorite Characters in The Belgariad and The Malloreon

One of my favorite characters is Garion, also known as Belgarion of Riva, Godslayer, Lord of the Western Sea, and Overlord of the West. To make things less confusing, I will call him Garion in this blog.

In my imagination, Garion appears as a young man with brown hair and eyes. To me, Garion is about 5 feet 8 inches tall and prefers to wear comfortable clothes.

He is married to Princess Ce’Nedra, and they have a baby boy named Geran. They chose the name Geran for their first son because it is the name of Garion’s father, and Garion believes that naming their son after his father would make him proud.

Garion is intelligent, generous, and trustworthy. You can count on him to make the best decision, and sometimes, he might need the advice of his Aunt Pol and Grandfather Belgarath.

Like his aunt and grandfather, Garion is a sorcerer. He is still learning to shapeshift, and he can transform into a bird and a wolf. He is also working on improving his mastery of the will and the word.

His Aunt and Grandfather continue to teach him when it is reasonable to use his powers and when it is not. Over time, Garion has become talented and powerful, and I believe he will continue to learn much more.

Garion is a young man, a sorcerer, a shapeshifter, a king, a husband, and a father. He is very intelligent and brave, and sometimes can be very silly.

I like Garion because when I read the books and read about him, I can see similarities between him and I.
