I have been transported into the future, and I am in the United States of America. Specifically, I am in Oshkosh, Wisconsin. It is late July, and the year is 5046. Everyone in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, is preparing for the EAA AirVenture, the world’s largest aviation event, which lasts a week.
In the year 5046, the only people who are in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, are the kindest people that I would ever meet. Another thing that is great about the people who are there is that they are all very friendly. When visitors come to their hometown, everyone treats them very nicely, and they like to make sure that the visitors feel as at home as possible. Every night, the community holds its activities at the end of the day and has visitors; everyone is included in the activities.
I believe that Oshkosh, Wisconsin, would be one of the most beautiful places that I’ve ever been to. There would be lots of green trees and bushes, and everything would be so gorgeous. Once a week, the community spends a day cleaning up their town. Some of the ways that they would clean up the town are pulling weeds, mowing lawns, trimming trees and bushes, attending to all of the flowers, and so much more. The people there have a great deal of fun together, laughing and making silly jokes while still working hard.
The people enjoy participating in all activities together as a community and spending time together. At night, the community breaks up for the night, and everyone goes into their homes. The families love spending quality time together, and they enjoy playing board games and card games. Sometimes, they also enjoy watching movies and TV shows together.
Some of the customs in Oshkosh are obviously the EAA AirVenture. It is the largest aviation event in the world. (Fun Fact: This year [2025] at the EAA AirVenture Oshkosh, there were about 704,000 people at the event!!) Some other customs in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, in 5046, are the town’s clean-up day, when the community cleans up their town. Some things that they would do to clean up their town are pulling the weeds, mowing the lawns, trimming the trees and bushes, and much more. Sometimes, the community puts on adult nights, kids nights, and family nights. Everyone in the community is very thankful that they are living the way that they are living.
Living in the future would be so much fun. I would be with the nicest people that I would ever meet.
If I had had to live in the future, and had the choice of living wherever I wanted to, I would love to be able to live in the world that I just wrote about. That would be a fantastic place to live with such amazing people. The best part of it would be that I would be at home, and I would feel like I had lived there my entire life.
